Ecocert – Certification Body for Sustainable Development

Ecocert Logo An independent company, Ecocert was established in France in 1991 as an inspection and certification body for organic agricultural products. Recognised worldwide for their strict requirements, Ecocert use technical guidance and expertise to support the environment through good business practice and are accredited by COFRAC the French Accreditations Committee.
Pure Argan Oil is certified by Ecocert to National Organic Standards (NOP) and regulation CE 889/2008.

USDA – United States Department of Agriculture

USDA LogoThe USDA run a National Organic Program (NOP) which helps businesses develop and implement organic production in accordance with the OFPA 1990. Pure Argan Oil suppliers are regulated to ensure that the oil which we sell is produced ethically and helps to promote an ecological balance.

France’s national logo for organic products since 1985. Organic products carrying the logo must contain more than 95 percent organiccomponents, and be produced or processed within the EU, and were certified by one of the inspection bodies accredited according to EN 45011. L’Agence Bio began managing and promoting the label in 2008.
